Hey everyone! I just got a camper van equipped with a solar system, and I'm still getting the hang of it. I've taken it out for a couple of camping trips, and it usually recharges perfectly after draining the battery. However, things went sideways today. I drained the battery again, but now it won't charge back up. The solar charge controller (an epever mppt) is showing a flashing empty battery icon and a little triangle, plus the screen says 'no charge' with a sad-faced battery. I checked the cables and panels, and they seem fine. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thanks a lot for your help!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a lead acid battery, which can get damaged if drained too deeply. They really don’t like going below 50%—think of it like a quick ticket to the scrapyard! If it’s a lead acid battery, keeping it above 70% is crucial if you want it to last. But before you give up, can you tell us how old the battery is and if it’s still in good shape? Sometimes there’s more to the story!

It's a Numax xv31mf battery, and it was replaced just a couple of months ago, so it's fairly new.
