My Dishwasher Connector is Leaking—What Should I Do?

I replaced the connector on my dishwasher with a new one and wrapped it with tape, but it's still leaking after I turned it on. I'm looking for advice on what steps I should take to fix this issue!

Could you tell us what type of connector you used? It might help to know if it's a standard one or something different. Also, check the inlet hose fitting to see if that might be the source of the leak!

Definitely check that inlet hose fitting! Sometimes that’s where things go wrong.

If it's a 3/8 connector and it’s leaking where it connects to the water valve under the sink, make sure you don’t overtighten it. Hand-tighten it first, then give it a quarter to half turn with a wrench—too much force can cause it to leak!

Exactly! I've had that happen before. Just a little snug and you should be good!
