My GE Dishwasher is Acting Up—Any Ideas?

Hey everyone, I've got a GE dishwasher (model GDF670SYVFS) that's only about 2 months old and it's giving me a hard time. It will start running, but then it quickly stops and all the lights on the front start flashing. I've checked for clogs and we generally avoid putting any overly dirty dishes in there. I also looked through the manual, but it doesn't mention anything about the lights flashing like that. I'm hoping someone here might have experienced this issue or has better troubleshooting tips than what I've found. Thanks!

You could try reaching out to any GE authorized repair shop for assistance. If you know of a good appliance repair service nearby, that might be worth it too. Otherwise, GE’s customer service should have you covered.

Not sure if it’ll work, but here’s a quick fix that might help: unplug the dishwasher from the power source, press and hold the on/off switch for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in to see if that resets it. Sometimes these tech glitches can be fixed this way!

Since it's only two months old, just avoid messing with it too much to keep the warranty intact. I’d suggest calling the store you bought it from; they should handle repairs or even replacements if needed.

I have a guy coming out to take a look.

One thing to check could be the sensor for the door. My old dishwasher had a similar problem, and it turned out to be a faulty door sensor. Since your dishwasher is practically brand new, I recommend contacting Home Depot or GE directly—they should be able to fix it for you under warranty.

I think the door sensor is working fine, but I’ll double-check it to be sure.
