I'm replacing my fence, and my neighbor insists on painting his side a bright, fun color. He hasn't offered to split the cost with me, and I'm worried about the paint seeping through to my side once I put it up. What kind of fence should I get to prevent this from happening?

You might want to go with a dark color like black for your side. That way, if anything seeps through, it won't be as noticeable.
