My Treadmill Went Crazy Fast After Being Stored – What Can I Do?

Hey everyone, I own a Gold's Gym Crosswalk Maxx 650 treadmill. It was working fine until I stored it in the garage for about a year. Now, when I turn it on, it runs way too fast for me to use safely. I've tried flipping the reset button and checked the speed sensor, and it seems fine. Any ideas on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

It sounds like the speed sensor might have some corrosion from all that time in the garage. I'd recommend opening it up to check the connections. Clean any corrosion you find, and then reconnect everything. That should help get it back to normal!

You might just need some new sneakers! But seriously, you could also try adjusting the speed settings or just giving it a good clean and maintenance check after being in storage. It might be a bit finicky after being idle for so long.

Haha, new sneakers sound good! I'll definitely try to clean it up and see if that helps.
