I'm looking to create a picture frame that's designed to withstand outdoor conditions. I won't be placing a photo inside; I'm just aiming for something long-lasting. A circular saw blade will do the trick for cutting Trex boards, but be aware that ripping can be a bit messier than cross-cutting. If you need perfect 45-degree angles, a chop saw is the way to go. Alternatively, you could consider pressure-treated wood, but just keep in mind that it may not hold up as well over time along the corners.
Trex could definitely work here. Plus, you might find some leftover scraps from deck projects that you can grab for free! Just be sure to check how the cut edges will look compared to the finished surfaces, as they may differ quite a bit.
