Need Advice on Hanging Curtains for My 10ft Window

I'm trying to figure out the best places to drill holes for installing curtain brackets across my 10ft window, as shown in the picture (https://imgur.com/OOllHki). The wall is about 12ft wide, and I'm concerned about securing the brackets properly. My stud finder indicated potential studs in the areas to the left, right, and above the window. I'm thinking of drilling at the following spots: one to the left of the window, one to the right, and one in the center above the window but not directly over it. Does anyone have feedback or suggestions on my plan? Thanks!

Make sure you have a solid structure behind where you're drilling. It's great you've found those studs on either end; that's a solid start! The center mark should also give you good support. Just make sure to use the right screws for a secure hold!

Thanks for confirming! I was worried about that center spot. I'll be careful with the screws.

Actually, since it's a 10ft width, I’d suggest going with four brackets to distribute the weight better. Place two on the ends into the king studs, and then one above the glass on the next stud in from each end. Better safe than sorry!

Considering the weight of the curtains and how long that span is, you might want to consider using three brackets: one on the far left, one on the far right, and one in the center for best support.
