Hey everyone! I've been getting more into home repairs and have a rental property that needs some attention. My current Ryobi drill isn't cutting it anymore, so I'm looking to switch to a Dewalt. I'm considering the DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Hammer Drill Driver Brushless (DCD996B) and the DEWALT 20V MAX Hammer Drill (DCD805B). I'm willing to spend a bit more for the right tool, but I'm not sure if I really need the heavy-duty version for everyday tasks. Is it worth the investment? Looking forward to your thoughts!

I'd definitely go for the bigger one! Having more power is never a bad thing, especially if you plan to tackle more demanding tasks. Trust me, you'll appreciate it when you need to drill through tougher materials.

But do you think that's overkill for simpler projects, like putting up shelves?
