Hey folks! I'm setting up a 12V to 220V inverter system on my tractor. I've installed a secondary alternator (150A, 12V) along with a 65Ah battery for short-term energy storage. I want to power a few tools and equipment reliably, and I'm looking for recommendations on a cost-effective inverter, ideally around 1200W, but I'm open to other wattages if it makes sense. Here are my specific questions: 1. Which 12V to 220V inverter would you suggest for my needs? 2. Can my current setup handle a 1500W inverter, or should I stick to around 1200W? 3. Do I need any additional components like a charge controller to protect my battery and alternator? 4. What gauge wire and fuse should I use to connect everything safely? 5. Are there any issues I should be wary of, such as voltage drops or overheating? Any personal experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What tools are you planning to use? That's super important. Also, could you share how much space you have in your tractor and what your budget looks like? It helps to know these details for better recommendations!
I’ll mostly use a drill and an angle grinder, keeping the max power consumption under 1000W. I have plenty of space since there's an extra battery box after switching to a 12V system. I’m located in Slovenia near Murska Sobota and my budget for the inverter is around 350€.
