Need Help Creating a Colosseum Costume for My Son

Every year, my son, who is now 7, has increasingly creative ideas for his Halloween costumes. In the past, he's dressed as the Titanic, a bowl of macaroni and cheese, and even a giant Lego brick! I want to make this year's costume special as well, but I'm struggling to come up with a plan for him to dress as the Colosseum. I'm not the most crafty person, but I can follow instructions. I've searched everywhere for tutorials or ideas but haven't found anything useful, not even ChatGPT really helped. I'm looking for advice, whether you're an engineer or a DIY enthusiast, on how to create a costume that looks like the Colosseum. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have a suggestion! You could use a hula hoop or some kind of hoop worn over his body with shoulder straps. Then, build out the Colosseum shape using cardboard and some textured spray paint to give it that stone look. It might turn out really cool!

If your son loves creativity and the effort you put into his costumes, maybe he’d be willing to compromise? He could go as a Roman Emperor holding a small styrofoam Colosseum instead. If he really wants the Colosseum, though, consider making a sandwich board with foam to create the structure around him. Just keep in mind it’ll need to be sturdy enough so he doesn’t bump into anyone.

How about incorporating some fun elements? You could fill the Colosseum costume with something like mac and cheese! Just imagine the delicious chaos!

That would be deliciously epic!
