I'm looking to buy a new router and I've got a nice bonus from work to put towards it. I'm considering the Festool because I already own some of their tools and really appreciate their innovative design, especially the trigger placement. However, I'm also wondering if there are any significant advantages to the Festool router compared to the Bosch. What would you recommend? Should I go for the Festool or play it safe with the Bosch?

If you have the budget, go for the Festool! It's top-notch, but if you want to save some cash, the Bosch is a solid choice too. Just keep in mind that Festool tends to excel when it comes to precision and build quality.
I’ve been in the Festool camp for a while now, but have to admit that DeWalt's new 20V router is impressive. It features an intuitive trigger system and can directly connect to Festool dust extractors! If you're considering the Festool, you might want to check that out first.
Honestly, I’ve always been a Bosch fan. Routers are pretty straightforward tools, so I’d suggest getting a budget-friendly Bosch and using the leftover money to invest in some high-quality router bits that'll last you a lifetime!
