Need Help Fixing My Fridge Water Line Leak

I've got a situation with my fridge water line that needs attention. The PVC hose at the back of my fridge recently developed a pretty bad leak. A repair technician came over and cut out the damaged section, then reconnected it to the metal water line using a quest connector. However, just a few hours later, the same PVC line developed another leak. I think cutting out another section isn't the best solution. Instead, I want to replace the line from the new quest connector to the metal line entirely. I've searched at places like Home Depot and Lowe's but haven't been able to find a PVC water line that has the right metal connector on the end to reconnect to my metal water line. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the part I need? I've included a link to a picture of the back of the fridge where you can see the quest connector, the PVC line I want to replace, and the metal hose for the water line.

It sounds like you're having quite the battle with that water line! The connection between plastic and metal typically doesn’t come with the pipe itself, so you'll need to pick up a compression fitting separately. If the ferrule isn’t already compressed into the tube, you might even be able to reuse that existing connector. Check where the leak is happening—sometimes the O-rings in the coupler near the fridge can wear out over time, and replacing those could be a quick fix. I'd say cut the water supply and take the hose with the fittings you need to a hardware store. If you have an Ace Hardware nearby, they usually have knowledgeable staff that can help you out. You might want to look for these parts: a 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch coupler, some polyethylene tubing, and a coupler for connecting the polyethylene to the metal tubing. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Hank! The leak's coming from a spot near the circle in the picture—it was just a pinhole leak that sprayed water everywhere! The first repair only lasted a few hours before this new leak started.
