Hey everyone! We just bought a house, and it turns out the previous owner tried to build a retaining wall, but it's not safe at all. I'm looking for some affordable ways to improve it. My idea is to use the existing stones to create anchors and build the wall using 2x4s, filling it with stones and some kind of cement. Water management is key when it comes to retaining walls! If you're planning to do it yourself, make sure you include a way for water to escape behind the wall. You can use a perforated pipe or even a gravel trench. And remember, the bottom needs to be the lowest point. Good luck with your project!
