I'm trying to replace a frost free spigot (it's a Legend T-552PNL model) but I'm hitting a snag. I don't have a crawl space or basement, and I'd really like to avoid tearing into the drywall if possible. I've already taken off the two screws on the outside, and while the spigot turns counter-clockwise easily, it just keeps spinning without unthreading. Does anyone know why this might be happening or what I should try next?

It sounds like you might have a stuck or stripped connection inside the wall. Unfortunately, if it's not unthreading, it might mean that opening up the wall is the only way to access it and get it replaced. If you can, check if there’s any water leakage when you turn on the spigot, that could give clues about what's happening inside.
Yeah, it’s a bummer, but often those spigots can get pretty stuck due to rust or corrosion. If you’re lucky, once you can access it, you might see what the issue is more clearly. Just be prepared for some drywall repair afterward!
