I'm looking for advice on setting up a distribution power supply box with a 36 Volt DC output and at least 9A. I'm currently using a 12V power supply, which I no longer need. Can I retrofit it for this new voltage, and if so, how would I go about doing that? Any tips would be really appreciated!

So, are you looking for something like a dedicated 36V power supply box? If that's the case, why not just replace the entire power supply? It could save you a lot of hassle unless the distribution board has components that might be damaged by changing it out.
I'm just a noob, so I didn't know if that was an option.
Exactly!
You'll need to provide more details about your existing setup. For starters, how much current can your 12V system handle? Most of these systems are typically rated for a few amps, which is far less than the 9A you're aiming for. Are you looking to reuse just the enclosure or some specific electronics? If you're distributing power, how many circuits do you need and how much current per circuit? The transition from 12V to 36V involves quite a lot of changes, so more context would definitely help us give you better advice!

I don't need that many ports but yes. I only need about 4.
