I recently bought a bandsaw from Facebook Marketplace and, being new to woodworking, I didn't check it as thoroughly as I should have. Unfortunately, the guides needed replacing, so I got new upper and lower guides. The lower guide aligns well, but I can only get the upper guide to fit if I angle it against the post, which doesn't seem right to me. I'm looking for advice on what to do before I consider returning them, especially since I can't find much information about this particular bandsaw or its parts.

Definitely check the brand and model online; sometimes there are helpful community forums or videos for specific bandsaw models. If you don’t find anything, returning the guides might be the way to go, especially if it feels off. Safety is key, so trust your instincts!
It sounds like you're doing your best despite the tricky situation! Generally, it's important for the upper guide to sit parallel and not angled, as that could affect your cuts and overall safety. Check if you might have installed something backwards or if there are some adjustment screws you missed that could help realign the guide. If no luck, considering a return might be the best move! Don't worry, it happens to everyone when starting out!
Yeah, I had a similar issue once. It's usually a simple fix if you can find the right adjustments!

For sure! I'd also recommend keeping an eye on the user groups online; they could point you in the right direction for parts!
