Hey everyone, I'm a new homeowner, and I'm trying to get a handle on my furnace and air conditioning setup. I recently came across a few questions that I'm hoping you can help me with. Here's the new link to my furnace picture: https://imgur.com/a/ySpGz8H.
1. I'm trying to locate the drain pan for adding a cleaning tablet. Do I need to unscrew the three plastic screws behind the PVC pipe in the top left of the photo to access it?
2. When it comes to cleaning the drain line, should I pour vinegar down the top opening or the bottom one?
3. I'd like to know where the P trap is. Do I need to vacuum it out every now and then and replace the water with clean water? Is it located in the top left of the PVC piping?

Hey! So just a heads up, when you mention your furnace, it sounds like you’re also talking about your AC system. The white pump under the duct is probably connected to a drain. As for the cleaning tablet, if your setup is configured correctly, you shouldn't need to use one unless your tube leads to a pan instead of a drain. Make sure that the white tube coming from the duct is your main AC condensate line and it should drip into a drain. Also, the gray thing labeled 'AprilAire' seems to be a humidifier, which might need a drain as well. It sounds like your setup won't need a lot of maintenance, especially if everything is draining as it should!

Wow, thanks for the great explanation! So, if it all leads to a drain hole, does that mean no maintenance is needed overall?
