Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind. My gutters have filled up and got pulled off the fascia, and I'm not sure what my next steps should be. Should I contact my insurance for this? Is it even worth it to make a claim? Should I reach out to the gutter installer for help? Or maybe I should tackle the fix myself? I'm feeling pretty stressed and could really use some advice or experiences from those who've dealt with this before. Thanks!

Honestly, I wouldn’t bother making an insurance claim for this. It could be more trouble than it’s worth, especially if it's just a small area that's affected. I understand you might have some water damage, but dealing with it directly might be easier. Just make sure to assess the situation properly before doing anything!
If your gutters aren't totally wrecked, you might be able to rehang them yourself using screws or nails from a hardware store. I'd suggest screws for a better grip. If they’re not holding well, try using small pieces of bamboo skewers in the drill holes first to add filler. Just keep in mind that the fascia might have gotten wet and could be rotting, so it’s a good idea to check that out when you get your roof replaced. Best of luck!
