Need Help with Strimmer Head Replacement – Any Alternatives?

I'm in the middle of moving my garden, but I've run into a problem. My strimmer is missing the top part that allows the wire to come out, and I'm not sure what to use as a substitute in the meantime. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It would really help if you could share some pictures and your strimmer's model number. That way we can figure out the best replacement options for you! If it's just a missing top, there are usually specific heads you can get for it.

You’re probably going to need to replace the head entirely. Most have a single bolt that holds them on, so it's a straightforward fix. In the meantime, if you're desperate, I've used zip ties before. Just tie a couple onto the head and you can use them to cut grass until you get a proper replacement.

Check out something like the link I found for you. There are replacement heads out there that work better than the traditional ones where you wind the string. Just make sure it's compatible with your strimmer's motor type! I’m not sure if they make them for hand-powered versions, though.

Do you really think they make hand-powered versions? I've only seen ones designed for motors.
