I'm setting up a new garage workshop and have a huge 1200-pound saw that needs some outfeed support along with a work or assembly table. The challenge is that my garage is designed to be modular, so everything has to be on casters for when it snows or the car has to be parked inside. I can't have anything level unless it's attached because of the sloped floor toward the drain. I'm considering building the workbench as part of the assembly that includes the saw, but that might push the total weight to around 2000 pounds! I'm worried about whether I can actually move it on the floor tiles, which are designed for drainage and might be tough to roll over. Should I create two separate tables that won't align perfectly, or should I try to make one integrated unit? What do you think would work best?

Have you checked out the Sawstop ICS mobile base? It's fantastic! I have one under my heavy cast iron saw, and it has a hydraulic pedal that easily lifts the whole setup for moving around the garage without breaking a sweat. I honestly don't see how you could budge something as hefty as what you're describing unless you had a hydraulic system.
