Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a 3D printer that will mostly be used for woodworking projects, but I'm sure my family will want to use it for fun creative things too. I'm not really that tech-savvy, and I want to keep my budget around $1,000 without spending all of it on just the printer. Any suggestions or advice would be super helpful, thanks!

If you’re not comfortable with a lot of tech stuff, the Bambu Labs printers are known for being pretty straightforward, which is a big plus. Just a heads-up, make sure you go for PLA material instead of resin, especially for the types of projects you mentioned. It’s easier to handle and safer for casual family use!
I recommend checking out the Bambu Labs P1S. It's super user-friendly, so you won't have to worry about tinkering too much. Plus, you can later add an option for multi-color printing, which is a nice bonus. If you're working in a dusty woodworking shop, the enclosure it offers is great for keeping everything clean and also allows for printing with more durable filaments. Definitely worth considering!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into it.
Since you mentioned you're not too tech-savvy, I just want to clarify a couple of things. What do you plan to print? And do you have any experience with 3D modeling or CAD software? Knowing this could help in picking the right printer for your needs.
I don't know how to use those programs. I mostly want to print stuff like organizational tools, like hose clamps, and I'm sure the kids will want to make some fun things too, like Pikachu figures.

Dummy proof is exactly what I need, thanks for the tip!
