Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a new soldering iron since my cheap one without temperature control has been wreaking havoc on my electronics. It's burned through my boards, and I really want to avoid that mishap again. I'm looking for something reliable that won't cause damage. I totally feel you; a temperature-controlled soldering iron is definitely the way to go. The tip size also matters depending on what projects you're tackling. If you tend to desolder often, look into getting a desoldering iron too. Being able to control the temp really helps to prevent burning through boards!
