Hey everyone! My 6ftx8ft wooden fence panels have completely rotted and it's time for a replacement. The wooden posts are still in good shape, so I just need to swap out the panels. I've been looking at the pressure treated spruce prefab panels from Home Depot and Lowe's, but I've come across some mixed reviews. I'm leaning towards wooden panels since I already have the wooden posts, but I'm open to suggestions. By the way, the old panels were there when we moved in four years ago and were already in rough condition. Any advice would be great!

Those prefab panels use a 2x3 rail and are put together with staples or nails instead of screws. If you're looking for something more durable, building the panels yourself could be the way to go.
I just picked up the one from Home Depot to replace my old 30-year-old spruce stockade fence. Overall, it looks good and seems solid to me!

So you think I should grab some pressure treated 2x3s and individual pickets? Just use stainless screws and washers to attach the rail to the post? Sounds like a manageable project since I think I already have the tools, I'd just need screws and washers.
