I'm planning to paint my house or possibly do a whitewash, and I'm looking for advice on the best way to go about it. What supplies do I need? I'm thinking about getting a decent spray painter but I'm unsure which ones are good deals. I know this isn't going to be an easy task, but I'm committed to doing it myself! I also want to find the easiest and safest way to paint the interior of my home. I appreciate any tips or advice you can share. Thanks in advance!

Painting your home can definitely be a bit tricky if you've never done it before, so I highly recommend checking out some YouTube videos first. You’ll find tons of helpful tutorials that cover everything from prep work to technique. There's a lot to learn! If you start feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to consider hiring a pro to help out even just for a bit. But if you're determined, go for it - just make sure to prep properly!
If you're set on using a sprayer, I'd recommend the Graco X5. It's versatile and great for both interior and exterior projects. Don't forget to invest in good quality paint like Sherwin Williams and a nice masking tool for quick setups. You'll also want to have a respirator handy, especially if you're spraying inside. Just remember, prep is key to a smooth finish!
Whitewashing might not be the best option depending on your home's surface, especially if it's brick! Start with the interior first; it's generally easier. Get a good paint sprayer if you plan to go that route - I found one at Harbor Freight for a reasonable price that works great. Just remember to clean your walls and patch up any issues before you paint. And for indoors, I suggest using a roller and cutting in for those corners instead of spraying for easier handling. Check out some videos to see how it's done, and maybe grab a spinner tool for cleaning your brushes!
