Hey everyone! I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed with my plant collection. I started with just one pothos and now I've got 14 plants in my living room, each with different care requirements. Some need misting, others prefer dry soil, and I've even lost one just by moving it a few feet! I've been reading care guides and trying out various plant care apps, but it all feels like too much to handle. I'm looking for some tips on how to manage all these plants without losing my mind. Do you keep detailed schedules, chat with your plants, or have any ADHD-friendly methods for plant care?

I used to feel swamped but now I've simplified things. I check the soil by touch and water when needed. For more complex plants, I keep care guides in a binder for quick reference. If something isn’t thriving, don’t be afraid to let it go. It's all about what brings you joy!
Apps can be hit-or-miss. I use an app to track my plants, but primarily rely on my instincts. I have around 80 plants and it only takes me 10-20 minutes daily to check on them. Misting is overrated—humidity is better maintained with a humidifier. And don’t stress over perfection, just enjoy the process!
Thanks for the advice! I might pull back on misting and try a humidifier instead.
I do things by vibes, no apps! I interact with my plants during my morning coffee and evening relaxation, just observing and seeing what they need. I have between 40-60 plants and they thrive without any schedules. Just listen to them!
I feel you! As someone with ADHD, I recommend trying semi-hydro methods for more manageable care—it really helps reduce the stress of daily watering. Also, don't force yourself to stick to strict schedules; embrace what makes plant care enjoyable! Just remember, it’s normal to lose plants while learning. Enjoy the journey!
I relate so much! I gave up keeping track and just water everything on Sundays—keeping it simple works!
Honestly, don't overthink it! I've got over 100 plants, and I've been caring for them for years. I only check two that like moisture a bit more, and I never mist them—even in a dry climate. Just use a water meter and check every Saturday; if it's dry, I water it, otherwise I wait. Simple as that!
Same here! Neglecting them a little actually helps. Overwatering is the top killer of houseplants!

That makes sense! I'm definitely guilty of holding onto plants that just aren't working for me.
