I recently bought a 60V string trimmer and I'm interested in getting some attachments, particularly the saw one. However, I've seen that Dewalt also offers a separate pole saw for just $49 more, and I'm curious which option is better. Additionally, I'd like to know about the quality of other attachments available for the string trimmer. Has anyone used these tools?

Honestly, if you're doing a lot of landscaping, the separate tools are designed for that. The new 60V tools are commercial grade, which means they’re more powerful and less awkward to use. The pole saw attachment for the trimmer is fine for light use, but it can feel a bit top heavy. I have the 60V trimmer paired with universal attachments, and while the branded pole saw isn’t the greatest, the versatility is awesome—you can just swap in other attachments instead of having a dozen separate tools.
I'd suggest going for the separate pole saw. It has a longer reach and is easier to handle when you need to get up high.
Totally agree! I mainly use the powerhead for my trimmer, but I found a Ryobi pole saw and colabber on Facebook Marketplace for a steal. The universality really saves space and money!
