Hey everyone! I have a bit of a confusing question about vincas that I'd love some help with. I'm in zone 6b and I'm looking for a low-maintenance flower that doesn't need a lot of watering. I think I found vincas, which look gorgeous! However, I've read conflicting info; some sources call them annuals while others say they're ground covers. If they're annuals, how do they cover an area every year? I just want them to stay neat in their planted sections without spreading all over. Is that doable? Thanks in advance for any insights!

Don't worry, vincas can be a bit tricky with their names! The ones you're looking at are actually evergreen perennials, not annuals. They’re quite hardy and don’t need much from you, which is nice. Just keep in mind where you plant them because they can spread quite a bit! If you only want them in specific spots, you'll have to keep an eye on them and maybe do some maintenance to prevent them from creeping too much.
Exactly! They’ll spread if unchecked, so if you're keeping them contained, just be ready to trim back their growth occasionally.
