Hey everyone! I'm looking to spruce up my garden, which has some tricky conditions—soggy shade, dry shade, and a driveway that feels like a desert in summer! I'm considering using different grasses to create some lovely sections, both in pots and in the ground. Ideally, I want clumping varieties that I can split and propagate. I'm not into massive pampas grass but would love something that reaches around six feet tall and a couple of feet wide. I'm hoping to plant these alongside my existing plants like bamboo, various ferns, and winter flowering honeysuckle. Any suggestions for stunning grasses that fit the bill? Small to medium sizes would be fantastic!

I haven't planted Deschampsia Cespitosa yet, but I saw it at an RHS garden show, and it looked stunning! The feathery clouds of grass are just beautiful. It might be worth checking out different varieties online to find some colors you like.

Thanks for the tip! I get how overwhelming grasses can be with so many options available. I'm hoping to find some that look good year-round!
