I'm currently using a 400/1000 diamond stone for sharpening my planes and chisels at a 25-degree primary angle with a 30-degree microbevel. Lately, I've been thinking I need a coarser stone to redo the primary bevel more efficiently, as the 400 grit takes a lot of time. Any suggestions?

If you're looking to save time on the primary bevel, consider getting a grinder. It can really speed up the process whether you're working with the primary or secondary bevels. You can find grinders on Marketplace for around $30–$60, which might be more efficient than investing in a new stone.

That’s a solid point! Grinders are versatile and can help with other tasks too.
