I'm on the hunt for a portable job site table saw that can handle dado cuts, ideally under $500. I'll be using it on the go, so any suggestions for brands or models that fit these needs would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking for affordability, I'd suggest checking out the Skil. It's well-regarded for the price, and many users find it to be a solid choice for job site tasks.
Yeah, I’ve used it and it’s the best bang for your buck, for sure.
If you're open to slightly stretching the budget, the Dewalt DWE7491RS is a fantastic saw that can handle dado blades. I’ve used it extensively. Just be cautious; I switched to a Hikoki saw for added features, but honestly, I regret it due to its poorer quality compared to the Dewalt. If you're lucky, you might find one on sale that fits your budget.
For your budget, you might want to look into the Masterforce jobsite saw from Menards. I had an earlier model and while it's not high-end, it performed well for my woodworking needs before I upgraded. It’s lightweight, has a decent folding stand, and while the dado capability claims max out at 13/16, I would check that out. It’s great for mobility and fits your budget!
I've got to mention the Bosch 4100. It's a bit over budget, but if you can catch it on sale, it’s incredibly reliable and performs excellently on job sites. Perfect for what you need!

Totally agree, Skil offers some great value for the money!
