Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on the best online shops where I can buy well-sized plants, specifically ones in pots ranging from 3 litres to 10 litres. This is for a school garden, and unfortunately, smaller plants just don't stand a chance against eager kids, so I want to avoid wasting money.
I've previously ordered from Gardeners Dream, and while they had healthy plants and good customer service (they quickly addressed a transit issue), their selection of established plants isn't very extensive. Our local garden centre tends to be pricey, and it's tough for us to visit in person.
If anyone has suggestions for online retailers with a good variety, I'd really appreciate it! Also, any tips on resilient plants that can handle curious little ones and minimal care would be great. I already love some flowering perennials and evergreen options like salvias, jasmines, rosemary, Russian sage, geraniums, spiraeas, and lavender. Thanks a lot!

You might want to check out sites like Cultivation Creations or GreenThumbs Online. They have a nice variety of larger plants that could work well in your school garden. Also, don't forget your local allotments! Sometimes they have extra plants they’re willing to share or sell at a good price, since allotment folks are usually super friendly and helpful.
Getting the PTA involved is a great idea! They might know parents who could contribute or help with planting. Honestly, buying larger plants seems like a more sustainable approach, especially considering that smaller ones often just don’t survive. Have you looked at places like Homebase or even local nursery websites? They sometimes have larger plants available and might be more affordable than you think.
Yeah, it does make sense to get the community involved. I saw a post about allotments in my area, might give that a try!

Thanks, I hadn’t thought of that! I’ll definitely consider visiting local allotments too.
