I'm in the market for two fans for my garage shop, ideally looking for a drum fan to bring fresh air in and a floor fan to push hot air out. I'm considering a $140 drum fan from Home Depot that's 24 inches. Does anyone have recommendations for quieter options or specific models?

Check out the 24-inch high-velocity shop fan from Harbor Freight. I've got two of them, and when they're both running on high, they aren't too loud, plus they provide really good airflow! You might want to consider that.
Do you run both fans to blow air in, or do you use one for intake and the other for exhaust?
