Recommendations for Sturdy Floating Shelves

I'm looking to install some floating shelves that can hold a good amount of weight, like kitchen appliances or stacked canned food. I've done quite a bit of research but I'm getting overwhelmed by the options, from super complicated builds to simple brackets. I came across some hidden bracket options, but I'm hesitant to trust what I find online. Ideally, I want something that doesn't require a PhD in construction but still feels secure. I have decent tools like a small table saw and a miter saw, and I'd rate my handyman skills as average to slightly above average. Any suggestions for reliable, reasonably easy-to-install shelving?

I used a mix of hidden brackets and right-angled ones for my shelves. They aren't true floating shelves, but they’ve held up well with a decent amount of weight. I remember the hidden brackets I used were rated for about 20kg, so they should work well for your needs.

What did you attach those brackets to? They look pretty wide for both screws to be in the studs.

You might want to check out brackets designed for holding countertops; they’re pretty strong! Just keep in mind that you'd need to do some drywall repair after installing them into the studs for a clean look. They're hidden, so it could really enhance the aesthetic of your shelves.
