Seeing Increased Water Intrusion After Waterproofing – Am I Overreacting?

I recently had my basement waterproofed about 13 days ago, and I'm a bit worried about what I'm seeing. I live in the Midwest, and it looks like I'm experiencing more water intrusion now than before the waterproofing was done. Should I be concerned, or is this just the concrete curing? It sounds like they might not have done a proper waterproofing job. If they used hydraulic cement and were trying to stop the water from the inside, that can be tricky. A more effective way would be to deal with the water from the outside. If you have a concrete foundation, epoxy injections could help seal cracks and stop the water intrusion.

I noticed that you mentioned a French drain in your concrete. If that's the case, that could be the source of your water intrusion, especially if it's leading to your sump. You mentioned they placed new drain tiles and did some exterior work like trenching and coating the walls, so make sure that’s all set up properly. Just a heads-up, the guys promised you’d be able to lay carpet, but if it’s this wet now, that might not be realistic.
