Hey everyone! I've been using my Stanley 71 router plane and really love it, but sometimes I wish I could cut a little deeper with the blade. I'm curious if anyone knows of any solutions to extend the blade length. Are there longer blades available for purchase, or could I adjust the thread to allow the blade to sit lower? Appreciate your help!

I remember hearing that Veritas router blades are compatible with the vintage Stanley 71, and they might be around half an inch longer. Just a heads up, though—you might not be able to retract the blade completely without removing the depth adjuster nut.
