Seeking Tips for Guerrilla Gardening: What to Plant?

Hey everyone! I'm excited to start guerrilla gardening in my neighborhood and I'm looking for some advice on what plants would be best. I've already planted some native English wildflowers around the bases of a few street trees, but I want to expand the variety a bit. I've got sunflower, lupin, marigold, and hollyhock seeds on hand. Would it be okay to just sow them directly into the soil here, or should I be cautious since a few aren't native? Would it be better for me to start them at home and transplant later? I'm new to this whole gardening thing, so any tips would be super helpful. Thanks a lot!

I’d stick mainly to native wildflowers if I were you. They’re usually the best bets for spreading naturally since they don’t need much maintenance like deadheading. Plus, they handle our weird British weather just fine and can deal with poor soil. Native plants are also a big win for local pollinators!

Thanks for the advice! I'm really excited to see the wildflowers in full bloom on my street.
