Should I Avoid Contractors with Political Views I Disagree With?

I'm looking to have my windows replaced at home and I've run into a dilemma. While checking out recommended contractors, I've found some of their personal pages to be quite anti-Semitic and politically different from my views. As a Jewish person, it's uncomfortable for me to hire someone who openly expresses hate towards people like me. Should I just overlook their beliefs and focus on their work, or should I keep searching for someone who aligns better with my values? I know this might sound like a weird question, but I'm sure others have faced similar situations when hiring for projects.

At the end of the day, it's your money. You should decide who you want to support. If their views really bother you, maybe it’s a sign to keep looking until you find someone who matches your ideology as well as skill.

Have you tried asking around in your community, especially amongst your Jewish friends? They might have good referrals to contractors who respect your values. It can be really helpful to get recommendations from people you trust.

Totally agree! That's the best way to find reliable help. Ask your circle for suggestions.

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely going to try this route.

I totally get where you're coming from! It's essential to find someone who can keep politics out of business. If you can, look for contractors who maintain a professional stance online. It's worth the effort to find someone who shares your values.

I'm in the same boat! I had my eye on a contractor too, but he shared some bizarre anti-vax views. Just ridiculous! It really makes you think about who to hire.
