Hey everyone! I recently purchased a new home and I noticed that the support pillars seem to be bowing a bit. Should I be worried about this? Here's a picture for reference: https://imgur.com/a/8PGR9gn.

It’s important to figure out if it's actually bowing or just not perfectly straight. Sometimes it just looks that way!

Did you get an inspection report? If there were no issues listed, you might be in the clear!

I live in a place where you have to waive your inspection to buy a home, so that wasn’t an option.

Keep in mind that wood tends to swell and shrink and houses settle over time. It's probably nothing to stress over!

Thanks, I’m just a bit paranoid since this is my first home!
