Should I Be Worried About Cracked Grout in My New Shower?

Hey everyone! So, we recently bought a new apartment, and after just one shower, I noticed some cracking in the grout on both the floor and the wall. Is this something that's normal, or should I be concerned about it? What should I do? I've attached a photo to give you a better idea of the issue: https://imgur.com/a/jZZa5li.

Honestly, it looks like a pretty shoddy grout job. If the shower's not super old, it’s possible that the previous owner just patched it up without cleaning properly first. That can lead to issues like this, especially if they watered down the new grout too much.

Yeah, I've seen this happen before! If the grout is cracking after just one use, it could mean the underlying issues weren't addressed. You might want to fill in those cracks properly to avoid further problems down the road.

If it's a rental, definitely let the property office know about it. They'll need to take care of that issue. But since you mentioned you bought the apartment, it might be worth looking into yourself.

Actually, we purchased the apartment, so I guess it’s up to us to handle it!
