Hey folks, I'm on the hunt for a new mower before spring rolls around. My old gas mower kicked the bucket last year, and I'm currently stuck with a manual push mower. While the manual one did the job in the fall, I doubt it can handle the fast-growing spring grass.
I'm eyeing two models: the 2x10Ah self-propelled electric mower (DCMWSP256U2) and the flexvolt push mower (DCMWP600X2). I have about half an acre to mow, so both seem suitable. I'm leaning towards the 2x10Ah model, and I might upgrade to the 2x12Ah flexvolt batteries for longer use. But I'm wondering if the newer flexvolt model is worth the investment or if I should just hold off and see what comes out in the early spring. I plan to buy from Home Depot since I have their credit card with a 0% APR offer for the year. Any advice on which mower to pick or thoughts on waiting for the next-gen models?

I picked up the 20v mower (2x10Ah) last year, and it's been amazing! I have about a third of an acre with some steep hills, and I can mow 1.5 times before needing to recharge the batteries. They're solid!
