Hey everyone! I'm considering buying the DeWalt 780 miter saw, but I'm also looking into the FlexVolt models. My initial thought was to go with a corded version since I won't need to deal with batteries. I plan to work in a small shed and move the saw outside when I use it, so it feels more straightforward. However, I'm wondering if I'm missing something in this decision. What factors should I take into account when deciding between corded and FlexVolt?

As a pro, I'd recommend going cordless, especially if price isn't too much of a concern for you. Corded saws are fine, but with cordless technology getting so advanced, you're missing out on the convenience. No cords to trip over, and they perform just as well—if not better—than older corded models. It’s going to be the future, so why not embrace it?
Consider where you'll be using the saw most often. If you're working in different locations or areas without reliable power, the FlexVolt might be more advantageous. I've found that the 60V battery power is comparable, if not better, than corded options. Plus, if there's ever a power outage and your batteries are charged, you can keep working!
Thanks for that insight! I might have jumped the gun buying a corded table saw last week, haha.
