Should I Choose the DCB118 or DCB1104 Charger?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and just getting into building my Dewalt tool kit. Right now, I have two 20V 4Ah XR batteries. I'm looking at two chargers: the DCB118 and the DCB1104. There's a $15 price difference between them. Which one do you think I should go for? Thanks!

I hear ya! Slow chargers can be a real pain, especially if you're low on batteries. You don’t want to waste time waiting when you could be getting things done. Definitely lean towards the faster one if you're planning on working a lot!

Cool, I’ll take the faster one! ✌️

Just be aware that while the DCB118 does charge faster, it will only do so if the battery allows it. The 4Ah batteries usually charge at 4A which limits charging speeds, no matter what charger you have. Also, if you’re considering getting into 12V tools later, the DCB118 won’t work for those batteries. Just something to keep in mind!

Definitely go for the DCB118! It’s a fast charger with a built-in fan, which really helps keep those batteries cool while charging. You’ll be able to charge your batteries much quicker compared to the standard DCB1104. For just $15 more, it seems like a no-brainer!
