Should I Get a Milwaukee Fuel Circular Saw or Just the Regular M18?

Hey folks! I've been using Milwaukee Fuel for all my homeowner tools and have been really happy with them—didn't take on anything big, just built a shed, a chicken coop, and some smaller projects around the house. My last remaining tool is a tiny Ryobi 5" circular saw, and I need to replace it. I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the Fuel variant or if I can save some cash and go for the regular M18 brushless model instead. I'm not a tradesman, just doing some DIY stuff, including building another chicken coop. I've never tried any non-Fuel Milwaukee tools before and want to make sure I don't end up disappointed!

For circular saws, it’s really wise to go with Fuel. It just makes your life easier and the cuts cleaner. You’ll be glad you spent the extra.

If it fits your budget, always pick the Fuel. You won’t regret it! It just outperforms the regular models, especially for DIY projects like yours.

Definitely go for the Fuel! I’ve got the 6.5" non-Fuel saw, and it struggles even with 2x4s. I really regret that purchase. Plus, the blade that comes with it is pretty terrible—so you’ll want to grab an aftermarket one. If I could do it again, I’d either choose the Fuel or just get a bigger saw altogether.
