I'm trying to decide between getting a built-in microwave or a countertop microwave for my pantry. I've read that built-ins are typically more expensive, but I'm unsure which option is really the better choice overall. I have a tall cabinet where the microwave would go. Would love to hear your thoughts!

If you ask me, a countertop microwave in the pantry is the way to go. Not only is it cheaper, but easier to replace if something goes wrong. It's almost a given that built-in ones will face issues more often!
But doesn’t keeping a microwave inside a cabinet pose any hazards?
It really depends on your kitchen layout! If you're considering the built-in option, make sure it fits well above your stove or wherever you're planning to install it. Otherwise, a standalone countertop microwave in the pantry could be a better choice, especially for ventilation. Just food for thought!
I plan to put mine in a tall cabinet, so I hope that works!
Would you leave the pantry door open when using it?
