Should I Go for the DCF845 Tool or the DCF840 Kit?

I'm a DIY homeowner who works on light projects now and then. I'm trying to decide between two options that are priced the same at $99: the DCF845 tool without any extras, or the DCF840 kit, which includes a 2mAH battery, a charger, and a bag (though I'm not too fussed about the bag). Can anyone share their insights to help me choose between these two?

From what I understand, the torque ratings for the 840 and 845 are pretty much the same. The size is similar too. I'd recommend going for the kit since it saves you the hassle of having to buy a battery and charger separately later on. The 2AH battery isn't huge, but it should last for smaller projects.

Actually, the 845 has a higher torque and RPM, and it's essentially a premium version because of its 3-speed switch. Just something to consider!

Both the DCF840 and DCF845 are pretty similar in terms of performance. The main distinction is that the 845 comes with a speed selection switch. If you don't find yourself needing those lower speeds often, I’d suggest going with the 840 instead. It gets the job done!

I agree! The 840 is a solid choice since you get the battery with it.
