I'm currently updating my home and have decided to replace my old doors and install new laminate flooring. However, I'm confused about the order. Some folks say I should put in the doors first to avoid damaging the new flooring during installation. Others think laying the laminate first is better, as it allows for proper adjustment of the door height. I really want to avoid any issues after installation, like doors being too high or low once the flooring is in place. Plus, I certainly don't want to scuff up my new floors during the door install. I've been saving for this project and want to do it right. Any advice from those who have gone through this would be greatly appreciated!

I’d recommend doing the doors first. You want to undercut the door trim so that your flooring can fit properly underneath it, especially if you’re using thick laminate. Just make sure to pull up the old flooring first to avoid any height issues with the new doors.
I think flooring should come first! New laminate, especially if it's good quality, can take some wear and tear without getting damaged. Plus, if you're removing old flooring, that's going to play a big role in how high the doors need to be. Check the install specs for your new product too!
Honestly, I’d say do the flooring first. It’s much less hassle, and if you protect the new floors properly, you shouldn't have any issues with damage while installing the doors afterward.
