I'm in the process of renovating my attached garage, which is currently not insulated on the walls, ceiling, or doors. We're planning to drywall and finish it, plus replace the garage doors. Right now, it's more of a spooky laundry room and makeshift workshop, but I want to transform it into a space for woodworking, laundry, and even some storage for a fridge and freezer. The catch is that insulated garage doors and adding insulation to the walls and ceiling would almost double the cost. While money isn't the main concern, I'm trying to decide if insulation is the way to go. Any advice?

I totally insulated my garage and it's been fantastic! My space stays warmer in winter and doesn’t heat up as much in the summer. It helped me save on energy costs since I'm not using the AC or heater all the time. Super worth it!
I insulated mine and now it's never below 45°F even when it's super cold outside. It’s way comfier to work on projects all year round, especially for woodworking. Definitely worth every penny!
Definitely go for it! Even if you don’t think you’ll need it right away, insulation will really pay off in the long run. If you ever decide to add heating or cooling to the space, it’ll keep everything way more comfortable.

That sounds awesome! I’m worried it might not make me want to do projects in the winter, but a comfy garage might change that!
