Hey everyone! I'm in the process of renovating my shower. I've noticed that the stud wall is about 1/2 inch tilted from bottom to top. Should I adjust the stud to ensure it's completely vertical before proceeding, or is it alright to leave it as it is? Thanks for your input!

As a pro, I recommend getting those walls plumb and square before you install anything. It's the best way to avoid headaches later on. Trust me, it makes everything else smoother when your foundation is right!
Definitely make sure your tiled wall is perfectly vertical. A tilt can really ruin the overall look, so it’s worth correcting before you continue.
Thanks for the advice!
If your whole room is out of square, you may need to visually check with a level and adjust based on what the rest of the space looks like. I’ve seen some remodels go wrong when folks insisted on leveling everything to perfection, not taking into account the natural shifts in older homes. Using shims along the stud can help you get that wall board straight if necessary.
Shims might be the way to go for an easier fix!

I thought the thinset could help with that issue.
