I'm moving in August, and the movers are taking everything about 10 hours away. I'm really worried because my plants could end up stuck in a truck for a day or two. I adore my plants, and my parents can't take care of all of them—there are just too many! I'm torn between giving them away so they'll survive or trying to move some of them with me. It's hot and humid on the East Coast, and while I'm willing to invest in some special packaging, I'm seriously concerned about the heat since I know the truck won't be refrigerated. I'm planning to leave my dad with just a couple of plants, and he promised to take care of my ponderosa lemon (lol). Here's what I'm thinking of moving: Thai constellation monstera, monstera deliciosa, various orchids, spider plants, pink princess philodendron, tortum philodendron, string of dolphins, hoya, cacti, albo pothos, ribbon fern, and blue star fern. Any advice? Should I bring them all, just a few, or is it better to let them go?

I took all my plants in my car when I moved, and they did just fine. Just make sure they're packed securely to avoid tipping over during the drive!
If you can drive separately, that’s a great way to keep your most precious plants with you! You could make a little mini-greenhouse in your car for the trip.
That sounds smart! Maybe bringing them in glass containers with water for hydration would help too.
If they're on the truck for a day or two, they'll probably be okay. You're really not losing much by trying, since you could end up in the same spot if you gave them away. Just keep an eye on them during the move!
That’s a good point! Worst case, I can always replace them later.

Haha, sounds like a fun adventure! I'm definitely thinking about doing that.
