I'm planning to repaint my downstairs area next weekend. It's currently a shade called Agreeable Grey, but I'm switching it to a whiter shade called Greek Villa. Right now, my doors and baseboards are painted Alabaster white. Since I'll be painting the walls Greek Villa, I'm wondering if I should also repaint the doors and baseboards. Should I stick with the original Alabaster color, or go with the new Greek Villa for the trim? What do you all think?

Typically, trim is better in a purer white to create a nice contrast with your walls, and it's often a semi-gloss finish. That said, it's really up to you! I’d suggest going with Alabaster for the trim again since it’s a brighter white than Greek Villa. Oh, and don't forget about the outlets—those could be painted too!
This is so helpful, thank you for your advice! I didn’t even think about the outlets, so I’ll paint those as well. Since Alabaster is the brightest white, I’ll stick with that for the trim. Just a quick question: I noticed the walls in my new build are mostly flat, except for the kitchen and bathrooms, which are semi-gloss. The kitchen and living area are open to each other; is it okay if I just use eggshell in the whole space to make it easier to clean instead of continuing with the semi-gloss in the kitchen?
